DESCRIPTION
The Model TX-BUG2, Miniature Transmitter, is a low cost miniaturized Powerline Carrier Transmitter that can be used to monitor
Smoke Detectors or other devices, and transmit this information, along with it's location code, over the existing
AC power wiring to the Receivers or Display Panels. Each unit contains a DIP switch for coding. Click on Coding The signals from these transmitters can be monitored at remote locations, using a variety of plug-in receiver modules and/or Display Panels. These units are designed for hard wire applications. They are solidly encased in a rock hard epoxy compound, measure 2.2 inches, by 1.2 inches, by 1/2 inch, and weigh less than 2 oz. They come with 2-sided tape on the bottom for quick and easy installation and can be concealed in such places as electrical outlet boxes, smoke detectors, OEM equipment, or anywhere 120V AC is available. Four (4), eight-inch pigtail leads are provided. Two or for direct connection to the 120V power (Hot and Neutral), and two are for the input trigger connection (AC power Neutral and the trigger return are common). The Schematic Diagram of the Model TX-BUG2 is shown below.
The Model TX-BUG2 is available in three trigger options. The Model TX-BUG2(NO), normally open which triggers when the input terminal are shorted together. The Model TX-BUG2(NC), normally closed, which triggers when the input is opened. And the Model TX-BUG2(DC), which triggers when a DC voltage (6 to 24V) is applied.
