Model TR-SAI, Smoke Alarm Interconnect Module Many localities require (and it's a good idea everywhere) that you have a means of monitoring Carbon Monoxide Alarms in Hotels and Motels, Office Buildings, Dormitories, Condominiums, Apartment houses, etc., in order to provide an early warning to occupants of the building. Be sure to set each Model TR-SAI Code to correspond to a unique number on your Monitor Panel. For example, set the Code on the Model TR-SAI in room #1 to correspond to room #1 on the Monitor Panel, and that of room #2 to correspond to room #2 of the Monitor Panel, etc. The Model TR-SAI is connected to the 120VAC and to the Smoke Alarms third wire as shown in the diagram below.
These modules are designed to be hard wired into the electrical outlet box behind the Smoke Alarm (or the Carbon Monoxide Alarm). They are solidly encased in a rock hard epoxy compound, measure approximately 2.2 x 2 x 0.5 inch, weighs less than 6 oz., and come with 2-sided tape on the bottom for quick and easy installation.
The diagram above shows how the Model TR-SAI is wired into the 120VAC Quick-Connector Alarm Harness of the Smoke or Carbon Monoxide Alarm.
