The Pushbutton Transmitter is a plug-in unit that is turned ON by pushbutton, and can be concealed underneath a desk or table where it can be secretly activated in case of panic or an emergency. A DIP switch allows you to set the location code.

Alternate Method
An alternate approach is to use the Plug-in Transmitter, Model TX-BUG3(NO) , connected to an ordinary Doorbell Pushbutton, as shown below. Some users chose this approach because it allows more flexibility in the location of the Pushbutton, and in where the Transmitter is plugged into the electrical outlet.
The Doorbell Pushbutton is available at most Hardware and Home Improvement stores, such as Home Depot, Sears, etc.

Panic Alarm for Teachers in the Classroom or Nurses in a Mental Ward
Use the Transmitter w/ DC Voltage Output, Model TX-PS1 to provide Panic or Emergency Paging for Teachers in Classroom or Nurses in a Mental Ward. Here the Model TX-PS1 is connected to a RF Receiver (Linear Corp, Model D67), and the Teacher or Nurse is supplied with a medallion type RF Transmitter (Linear Corp, Model ET-B1), worn around the neck, to create a RF link to trigger the Model TX-PS1, which is plugged into an AC outlet within the Classroom or Ward. This allows the Teacher or Nurse complete freedom of movement within the Classroom or Ward.

The Transmitter w/ DC Voltage Output Module, Model TX-PS1 supplies a +12V DC power output.

This unit plugs directly into the 120V AC power outlet, and has three (3) terminal connections; DC output, Trigger input, and Common. All are isolated from the 120V AC power.
