Smoke Alarm Interconnect Module

The Model TR-SAI,Smoke Alarm Interconnect Module allows you to interconnect Carbon Monoxide Alarms so that when one is activated , they all will sound, and also activate other appliances such as Relays, Bells, Horns, EXIST signs, etc., without the necessity of adding a third wire. This module is both a powerline carrier transmitter and receiver.

Normally, to interconnect Carbon Monoxide Alarms, it is necessary to add a wire (third wire) between each of the units. In many older buildings, this could mean tearing out walls to add the third wire, which could prohibitively expensive. This third wire is not needed with the Smoke Alarm Interconnect Module

If you have at least one(1) Model TR-SAI, Smoke Alarm Interconnect Module,  you can activate such things as Escape Lights, Exit Signs, Exhausts Fans, Door Closures, or other auxiliary devices, when the Carbon Monoxide Alarms are activated, by adding a Model RX-RCM , Remote Control Module.  The Model RX-RCM is a remote controlled relay with isolated 10 amp contacts (NO C NC) that is hardwired at any point in the buildings electrical wiring.  This relay is controlled by the Model TR-SAI, via Powerline Carrier .   These auxiliary devices and appliances may be added anywhere in the building without additional wiring.
